Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra is an Independent Researcher (Scholar) and retired from the Population Education Resource Centre at S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai, India. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Patna and a Government of India Fellowship in Demography. His qualifications also include a Post-Master’s Diploma in Adult & Continuing Education and a Certificate in Hospital and Health Care Management.
His research focuses on demography, sustainable development, and health. He has authored 6 booklets, 4 books, 32 chapters, 111 journal articles, and 126 conference papers. He received multiple Certificates of Excellence in Reviewing and the Excellence in Research Award in 2021. Dr. Mishra collaborates with over 124 international developmental agencies, including the United Nations, FAO, and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
