Keren Dopelt

Biography

Keren Dopelt, Ph.D, is an associate professor and the head of the Ethics Committee in the Department of Public Health at Ashkelon Academic College, Israel. In addition, she is a research associate at Ben Gurion University School of Public Health, the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Israel, the Health Policy Program, and the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER). She coordinates the "Health Forum of the Negev" at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Ben Gurion University. She also coordinates and guides students in their final research projects. Her main research interests are Sociology of health, Health promotion, Health policy, and Health Disparities. She received her Ph.D. in Sociology of Health at Bar Ilan University and her Post-doctorate at Ben Gurion University of the Negev - Department of Health Policy and Management, researching national quality measures for infants and toddlers' preventive health services. Prof. Dopelt co-founded the annual Conferences for Health Equity in the Negev. She has published dozens of papers in leading journals.
