Biography

Dr. Indrajit Banerjee is a Professor at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Medical College, Department of Pharmacology, Mauritius. He has a passion for teaching and has actively been involved in the teaching and learning process of Pharmacology. He has a teaching experience of 15 years. He has research interests in clinical pharmacology, pharmacoepidemiology, systematic review and meta-analysis, psychopharmacology, drug utilization studies, medical education, and COVID-19. He has won the prestigious CEA Prize in Neuroscience 2013 from Kerala, India, and best paper award for his research “Effect of Energy Drink consumption on health of Medical Students: First Study Reported from Nepal” at the International Conference on Research Methodology and Scientific Research, 2013 (India).  He has published 126 research papers in various indexed journals, 6 books, and 4 book chapters to his credit.  He has 3 publications in the Lancet. He has presented more than 150 research papers at various international conferences. Recently he was nominated as a keynote speaker at the 2nd International Acharaka Medical, nursing and Health Sciences Congress, Turkey. He is the chief editor of the Nepal Journal of Epidemiology.
